About Us

Hakuba is fast becoming one of the worlds most popular ski destinations. The general belief that Japan and Hakuba is an expensive place to visit is not true. Apart from the superb snow, empty lift lines and amazing food, it is the value for money that brings so many back to Hakuba year after year. You don’t need to spend a lot of money over here as the prices of food & alcohol in restaurants\café\bars are low comparative to other ski areas around the globe. Hakuba has so many good restaurants,  in less than a 10 minute walk from us you will find some fantastic places to dine, our staff are only too happy to make reservations for you.

  • Our closest resort is Happo-One and it's about 700m from our ski lodge.
  • Because Hakuba is spread out over a large area its important to stay in a central location close to restuarants and transport.
  • We are licenced to sleep 30 people, so it never gets too crowded, just relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
  • We cater for everyone, ideal for couples, families, groups of friends or singles. After an exciting day on the mountains, there is nothing better than to enjoy our hot Japanese baths to soak your tired muscles and rejuvenate.
  • We have a very comfortable lounge & bar that provides guests with the right ingredients to relive the day and plan the next.
  • Our bar is open till 11pm - we serve bar snacks, cold beer, great wines, whisky & spirits

PRICING FOR THE LODGE

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
  • DEPOSIT: 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. It is non-refundable and paid when creating the reservation online on our website. A reservation is not confirmed until the deposit payment is received.
  • BALANCE PAYMENT: Once reservation is confirmed, the balance payment is due 60 days prior to the start of the reservation.
  • All payments are made in Japanese Yen, unless otherwise instructed.
  • Payments are made using FLYWIRE. This method is cheaper and you obtain competitive exchange rates.

CANCELLATIONS
  • The 20% Deposit and Balance amounts are non-refundable if cancelled after payment has been completed.
NOTE: We enforce this policy without apologies, you should arrange travel insurance at the time of booking to cover loss.
  • Reservations made via booking.com are subject to the policy listed on the Snowlines Lodge Property details on that site.
  • These (booking.com) bookings will not receive the conditions listed in the Terms & Conditions.

INSURANCE
  • We strongly advise that you take out adequate travel insurance covering both the holiday itself and the length of stay.
  • If you are intending to venture into back or sidecountry areas you need to ensure you have insurance for helicopter rescue & death. The reason is simple, you don't want to be carried\stretchered out of hard to access terrain when you have spinal injuries - you will need a helicopter rescue.
  • Ensure that you are covered against; death, personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, personal liability, transfer\accommodation cancellation, flights, tickets, tours, loss of baggage, personal effects or any other costs associated with taking the holiday.
  • All room prices are based on a Twin\Double share; Except, "Quad Room" & "Japanese Room with Toilet" (when booked as a single, triple or quad) or by prior written arrangement from management.
  • Children under 8 are charged ¥4,000 per night if sleeping in the same bed as parents. Only two (2) children per room and please don't complain you don't have enough space, if you have three (3) children under 13 years and are intent on staying with us please book the Quad room.
  • If the use of a cot or an extra futon on the floor is required the cost is an additional ¥8,000 (children under 13) per night. There is only space for one cot OR one futon per room.
  • For children aged 13 and over the rate is the same as an adult.
